How to Download Video from a Link on iPhone, Android, and PC

Every phone and computer handles "saving a video from a link" a little differently, but the core method is the same everywhere: copy the link, paste it into a browser-based tool, and download the file it returns. Here's exactly how that works on iPhone, Android, and PC.

What you need before you start

• The public link (URL) to the video you want to save
• Any web browser - no app install required
• Enough free storage space on your device

On iPhone

1. Open the post in Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, or another supported app and tap Share, then Copy Link.
2. Open Safari and go to allvideodl.com, or jump straight to the matching Instagram, Twitter/X, or Facebook downloader page.
3. Paste the link and tap Start.
4. Once the Download Video button appears, tap it, then tap and hold the video and choose Save Video to add it to your Photos app.

On Android

1. Copy the video link the same way, using the Share or Copy Link option in the source app.
2. Open Chrome (or any browser) and go to AllVideoDL.
3. Paste the link, tap Start, and wait a few seconds for processing to finish.
4. Tap Download Video. The file saves straight to your Downloads folder, and you'll get a notification once it's finished.

On a PC or Mac

1. Copy the video link from the website version of the platform (right-click the post or use its share menu).
2. Go to AllVideoDL in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
3. Paste the link into the box and click Start.
4. Click Download Video once it appears - most browsers save the file straight to your Downloads folder automatically.

Troubleshooting tips

• Nothing happens when I paste the link: double-check that you copied the full URL, including "https://".
• The video won't process: make sure the post is public - private accounts and login-only content can't be downloaded.
• The download button doesn't do anything on iPhone: try opening the link in Safari specifically, since some in-app browsers block downloads.
